The Family Man

“Our family has always been the central focus of Ann and my lives. We enjoy a great relationship with our grown children; two of whom and their families live in the neighborhood. We see our daughter Jennifer and her husband Chris, and their children Miranda and Aidan who live in St. Louis at every opportunity. We all vacation together and take the time to mark milestones in our lives and the lives of our grandchildren together.

We are blessed by seven wonderful grandchildren with whom Ann and I are close. Since our first grandchild was old enough to appreciate it, I have delivered doughnuts and muffins to each household every weekend.  Emma, Kevin and John have come to expect the deliveries and we get to spend some quality time together.  Now our son Tim and his wife Anne have a two sons, Owen and Cormac.  They, too, has learned to appreciate these regular visits with Poppy.

“For one week each summer for the last several years, I have organized Camp Poppy for my grandchildren. It is a week of daily activities I plan which culminates in a camp out with a camp song we all write and learn.”
